Dear Readers,
I am delighted to announce the Summer Fellows for 2024.
We received numerous applications from more than 20 countries for our annual fellowship program. I am so impressed with the several high quality applications that have come our way. We thank you for your interest in this entrepreneurial initiative in global health journalism.
This is the fourth year of the Fellowship program, and our community has only steadily grown. I take this as yet another opportunity to learn from, and work with our chosen experts.
Over the years I have seen a shift - we initially had greater interest from doctors and technical experts in global health, to now receiving more applications from the social scientists working in this field. Geneva Health Files has a particular lens to global health, and we are keen on broadening the conversation beyond the technicalities in the field to also include other voices.
Our readership will benefit from the diverse perspectives brought by our new contributors, adding to the richness of the discourse on global health in Geneva. We will be publishing their work over the coming weeks and months, and some will be working with me behind the scenes!
Best,
Priti
